Example content
Talk about the passage, with the original words right beside the conversation.

From the first note to the next draft.

Gather the research, discuss the important detail, and ask your agent to help with a proposal. The writing and conversation stay connected to the same document.

Write with clarity

Start in the visual editor or work directly in Markdown. Give your ideas a place to grow, with images, links, and a clear structure.

Discuss in context

Keep messages, threads, and quoted passages beside the document. Share a perspective without losing what the conversation is about.

Continue with your agent

Connect your agent to read, create, and update saved documents. Come back to the same content and the same document link.

The context stays.
Your agent continues.

Keep the useful parts of a conversation. Give Codex, Claude Code, or OpenCode the same document link, and pick up where the work stands.

Made for work you return to.

Begin on your own, bring someone in, and keep useful work moving at your own pace.

Private until you share

Start with a personal document, invite collaborators, or work together in a shared Space.

Access with a clear purpose

Viewer, editor, and administrator roles define how people participate. Connected agents use your current document permissions too.

A version worth keeping

Save a clear version of your title and content. Quotes keep the original passage, and local drafts help recover unfinished writing.

An easier way back

Find unread discussions, follow what matters, and mute what can wait. In-app notifications help you pick up the conversation.

A few things
to know.

All questions and answers
Are my documents private?

Personal documents start private. Invite collaborators or enable link joining when you are ready. Documents in a shared Space use that Space's membership permissions.

What does agent support mean?

Connect Codex, Claude Code, or OpenCode to read, create, and update Dee documents under your current permissions. The Install page takes you through the connector setup and browser approval. Dee does not currently run a built-in AI agent.

Can several people edit at once?

People can edit shared documents with explicit saves. If someone saves a newer version first, Dee reports a conflict and keeps your input available for review. Live simultaneous editing is not currently available.
